A Simple Summer Challenge to Boost Your Child’s Confidence
Hi there,
It’s Dr. Reon Baird-Feldman here again — and I want to share something fun, simple, and meaningful you can do with your child this week to support their confidence and emotional growth.
I call it the 3-Day Confidence Quest — and it’s designed to help kids recognize their strengths, practice kindness, and try something brave… all while having fun.
No extra prep. No fancy tools. Just 10 intentional minutes a day and some encouragement from you.
Here’s how it works:
🎯 3-Day Confidence Challenge for Kids
🗓️ Day 1: Superpower Spotlight
Ask your child: “What are 3 things that make you really special?”
Write them down or draw them together. You can even decorate a sticky note or affirmation card and put it somewhere they’ll see it often — on the fridge, a mirror, or inside their lunchbox.
🗓️ Day 2: Kindness Captain
Challenge your child to do one kind thing for someone else — a sibling, a pet, a neighbor, or even you. Then ask: “How did that feel?”
Recognizing the internal joy that comes from kindness is a powerful self-esteem booster.
🗓️ Day 3: Brave Explorer
Encourage them to try something new — even something small! It could be tasting a new food, drawing something they usually avoid, or introducing themselves to a new friend at camp or in the park. Then celebrate it big! (Silly dance parties count.)
These tiny moments become big mindset shifts over time and you don’t need a workbook or screen time tracker to make it happen — just a little bit of curiosity, compassion, and connection.
Bonus tip: Use our affirmation water bottles, magnets, or journals as conversation starters during the challenge — kids love spotting positive messages in their everyday routines!
You’re doing an incredible job nurturing your child’s heart and mind. Keep going! I’m right here cheering you on.
With warmth,
